For liquor retailers

Brand-funded tastings, brought to your stores.

Prime Sampling sells brands on tasting campaigns and brings those events to the stores we serve. No cost to your stores, an in-store experience that builds floor traffic, your managers stay in the loop on every event, and a team that treats your licence like its own. No lock-in and no exclusivity.

The model

The model in three lines.

  1. 1

Liquor brands pay for the event, never you.

  2. 2

A turnkey, professionally run event in your stores: your managers stay in the loop, we handle everything else.

  3. 3

Certified staff run the event at no cost to you, with the featured product purchased at full price from your stores.

What you get

Every event includes.

  • Certification-verified ambassador: ProServe in Alberta, Serving It Right in British Columbia, enforced by software, not spreadsheets

  • GPS check-in and check-out on every shift

  • Ambassador checks in with your manager on arrival, a required, recorded step

  • ID checks run to your store's policy, whether that's Check 25, Check 30, or every pour

  • Setup and teardown handled end to end

  • Featured product bought at full price at your till, in your store

  • Responsive campaign support during every event, issues addressed while the event is running

Data integration + business intelligence

From event activity to retail performance.

Prime Sampling can design and deliver the full data and reporting layer around your tasting program, integrating authorized POS and sales data with event execution. The platform's built-in BI reporting and charting turns it into insight your teams can actually use, with exportable data customized to your IT team's requirements.

Tasting operations and enterprise-grade data expertise rarely live under one roof. At Prime Sampling, they do.

Built around your systems

Prime Sampling can work with your existing data environment, connect approved sources, standardize product and store data, and remove manual reporting handoffs.

One commercial view

Bring event timing, store activity, product movement, and campaign results together to see what happened by location, banner, product, and period.

Decision-ready dashboards

Reporting and charting built into the platform, designed for operators and commercial teams: clear enough to act on, rigorous enough to guide future investment, with exports your IT team can pull into its own systems.

Your licence, protected

Compliance, engineered.

Every tasting runs inside your licence, so compliance is a scheduling rule, not a policy document.

  • Certification is a hard gate: expired or unverified ambassadors cannot be scheduled

  • The under-your-licence operating model is written down and audit-ready

  • Responsible-tasting protocol: legal-age ID checks to your store's policy (Check 25, Check 30, or every pour), no over-pour, no service to intoxicated patrons, no pressure-selling

  • Pour volumes pre-defined per province

  • $5 million in commercial general liability, including host liquor liability: your stores are named as additional insureds and receive the Certificate of Insurance before any event

Common questions

What store managers ask us.

What does this cost my store?

Nothing. Brands fund the event, never you. Tasting stock is purchased from your stores at full price, so the event is revenue for your stores, not an expense.

How much staff time do we need to give?

Little. A manager agrees the opening and closing counts of the featured product with the ambassador at check-in and check-out, unless your sales data is already integrated with Prime Sampling. Otherwise shifts run self-sufficiently: Prime Sampling brings the ambassador, the kit, and the setup, and your stores provide the floor space.

Who do I call if something's off?

Contact your Prime Sampling campaign lead. They know the event and can bring in the right operations support without sending you through a switchboard.

What about our licence?

Certified ambassadors only, ID checks run to your store's policy, a documented responsible-tasting protocol, and your stores named as additional insureds on our policy, with the Certificate of Insurance in your hands before any event.

What if the ambassador cancels?

Every event is confirmed the day before, and if a shift cannot run you hear from us before the store opens, not after. Prime Sampling works to place a replacement ambassador the same day, or rebooks the tasting for another date that works for your stores.

Do we get anything after the event?

Every shift closes with a shift report filed in the portal before the ambassador checks out. For retailers, Prime Sampling can also integrate authorized sales and POS data into the platform's built-in BI reporting, connecting event activity to store and product performance, with exports tailored to your IT team's requirements.
